Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect when you use DoDemo and dodemo.studio, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Last updated: September 18, 2026
1. Scope
This policy covers the DoDemo website, account system, desktop app entitlement checks, support, and related services. It does not cover websites or services we do not control.
Important: screen recordings and project files you create in the DoDemo desktop app stay on your device unless you export or share them yourself. We do not upload your recordings to our servers as part of normal recording or editing.
2. Information we collect
We may collect:
- Account data — email address, name if you provide it, authentication codes, and account identifiers.
- Billing data — processed by Stripe (payment method details, billing address, invoices, subscription and purchase history). We do not store full card numbers on our servers.
- Support messages — content you send via the contact form or email, including optional company name and technical details you include.
- Product and site analytics — usage events (for example feature use or errors) via PostHog, website analytics via Google Analytics where enabled, and ad measurement via the Meta (Facebook) pixel.
- Affiliate attribution — referral cookies and IDs via PromoteKit when you arrive through an affiliate link.
- Technical data — IP address, device/browser type, OS hints, and logs needed for security, debugging, and entitlement checks.
- Bot protection — Cloudflare Turnstile tokens when you submit certain forms.
3. How we use information
We use personal information to:
- Create and secure accounts, and verify sign-in codes.
- Provide and enforce DoDemo Pro entitlement and downloads.
- Process payments, invoices, renewals, cancellations, and refunds.
- Respond to support requests and improve the product.
- Measure marketing and product performance, and prevent abuse or fraud.
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms.
We do not sell your personal information.
4. Legal bases (EEA/UK and similar)
Where required, we process personal data on these bases:
- Performance of a contract (account, Pro license, support).
- Legitimate interests (security, product improvement, analytics) balanced against your rights.
- Consent where we ask for it (for example certain cookies or marketing, if offered).
- Legal obligation (tax, accounting, responding to lawful requests).
5. Sharing
We share information with processors who help us run DoDemo, including:
- Stripe — payments and customer portal.
- Supabase — authentication and account database.
- Resend — transactional email.
- PostHog and Google Analytics — analytics.
- Meta — Facebook pixel for ad measurement and conversion reporting.
- PromoteKit — affiliate tracking and commissions.
- Cloudflare — Turnstile and infrastructure protection where used.
- Hosting providers (for example Vercel) that serve the website and APIs.
We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect rights and safety, or in connection with a merger, acquisition, or asset sale.
6. International transfers
We and our processors may process data in the United States and other countries. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses or the processor’s equivalent transfer mechanisms.
7. Retention
We keep account and billing-related records for as long as your account is active and as needed for taxes, disputes, fraud prevention, and legal compliance. Support tickets and analytics are retained for a reasonable period for operations and improvement, then deleted or aggregated.
8. Security
We use industry-standard measures appropriate to our size and risk profile, including encrypted transport (HTTPS), access controls, and third-party providers with their own security programs. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
9. Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, export, or restrict processing of your personal information, and to object to certain processing. You may also lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.
You can update account details where available, manage billing in the Stripe portal, and request account deletion from your account page or by contacting us. Some billing and fraud records must be retained even after account deletion.
You can control cookies and tracking through your browser settings and, where offered, in-product or site consent tools.
10. Children
DoDemo is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided data, contact us and we will delete it.
11. Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. The “Last updated” date will change when we do. Material changes may be highlighted on the site or by email when appropriate.
12. Contact
