Terms of Service
These Terms govern your use of DoDemo, including the website at dodemo.studio, the DoDemo desktop apps for macOS and Windows, and DoDemo Pro billing.
Last updated: September 18, 2026
1. Agreement
By creating an account, downloading or using DoDemo, or purchasing DoDemo Pro, you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the product.
“DoDemo,” “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to the operator of DoDemo and the website dodemo.studio. “You” means the individual using the service or, if you use DoDemo on behalf of an organization, that organization.
2. The product
DoDemo is a native desktop screen recorder and editor for macOS and Windows. Recording and editing happen on your device. We provide account, licensing, download, and billing services through our website and related systems.
DoDemo Pro is a single product tier. Lifetime, monthly, and yearly options are billing choices for the same Pro entitlement, not separate feature tiers.
3. Eligibility and accounts
You must be at least 16 years old (or the age of digital consent in your country, if higher) to create an account. You are responsible for the accuracy of your account information and for keeping login credentials secure.
One Pro license is for one person and one account. You may not share, rent, resell, sublicense, or transfer your account or Pro access except as we expressly allow in writing.
4. License
Subject to these Terms and a valid Pro entitlement where required, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use DoDemo on devices you own or control for your personal or internal business use.
Lifetime access applies to the original purchaser’s account and includes future DoDemo Pro updates we choose to release. It is not a guarantee of any specific feature roadmap, platform, or perpetual availability of every current capability.
You may not reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code except where applicable law expressly permits it despite this restriction; circumvent license or entitlement checks; or remove proprietary notices.
5. Free use, trials, and Pro entitlement
We may offer free installation, limited features, or trials. Pro features that require payment remain locked until Stripe confirms a successful purchase or active subscription and our systems grant entitlement to your account.
Export and other gated features may check entitlement online. Abuse of entitlement checks, shared keys, or forged responses is a material breach of these Terms.
6. Billing and subscriptions
Payments are processed by Stripe. Stripe’s records are the source of truth for charges, invoices, taxes Stripe collects, refunds, and subscription status.
Monthly and yearly plans renew automatically until you cancel. You can manage payment methods, invoices, cancellations, and plan changes through the Stripe customer portal linked from your account. Canceling stops future renewals; you keep Pro access until the end of the paid period unless a refund is issued under our Refund Policy.
Prices may change. For subscriptions, changes apply on the next renewal after notice, except where law requires otherwise. Lifetime purchases are one-time charges at the price shown at checkout.
7. Acceptable use
You agree not to use DoDemo or our website to:
- Violate any law or third-party rights, including privacy and intellectual property.
- Record or distribute content you do not have the right to capture or share.
- Probe, attack, or disrupt our infrastructure, Stripe, or related services.
- Distribute malware, or use the product to facilitate fraud or phishing.
- Misrepresent affiliation with DoDemo or use our marks without permission.
8. Your content
Recordings, projects, and exports you create remain yours. They stay on your machine unless you choose to export, upload, or share them elsewhere. We do not claim ownership of your recordings.
You are solely responsible for how you use, store, and distribute content you capture with DoDemo, including obtaining any consents required by law.
9. Intellectual property
DoDemo, its software, branding, documentation, and website content are owned by us or our licensors. These Terms do not transfer ownership of our intellectual property to you.
10. Third-party services
We rely on third parties such as Stripe (payments), Supabase (authentication and account data), Resend (email), analytics providers, and PromoteKit (affiliates). Their terms and privacy practices apply to their processing. We are not responsible for outages or acts of those providers beyond our reasonable control.
11. Disclaimer of warranties
DoDemo and related services are provided “as is” and “as available.” To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the software will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that recordings will never be lost or corrupted.
12. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data, or recordings, whether based on contract, tort, or any other theory.
Our total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to DoDemo or these Terms will not exceed the greater of (a) the amounts you paid us for DoDemo Pro in the twelve (12) months before the claim, or (b) fifty US dollars (US $50).
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in those places, our liability is limited to the fullest extent allowed by law.
13. Indemnity
You will defend and indemnify us against claims, damages, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your content, your use of DoDemo, or your breach of these Terms, except to the extent caused by our willful misconduct.
14. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate access for violation of these Terms, fraud, chargebacks, non-payment, or risk to the service or other users. You may stop using DoDemo at any time and delete your account as described in the Privacy Policy.
Sections that by nature should survive (including license restrictions, disclaimers, liability limits, and indemnity) survive termination.
15. Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. The “Last updated” date will change when we do. Continued use after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms, except where applicable law requires additional consent.
16. General
These Terms are the entire agreement between you and us regarding DoDemo, and supersede prior agreements on the same subject. If a provision is unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not assign these Terms without our consent; we may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
